It’s recommended to use a high-quality knife only on a proper, blade-friendly cutting board. This biowood fiber cutting board can be safely washed in the dishwasher and doesn’t require sanding or oiling like traditional solid wood boards.

The board is much thinner than traditional wooden boards and may feel hard under the knife at first, but it softens quickly with use and is gentler on the blade than plastic cutting boards. The heat resistance of compressed wood fiber is also significantly higher than that of traditional wood boards, making it safe to use as a trivet as well. Biowood fiber boards have received NSF approval, meeting strict hygiene standards. The board measures 24 x 14 cm and has a thickness of 6.5 mm.

Scratches that appear on the surface during use can be removed with fine sandpaper, but this is often unnecessary as the scratches are merely cosmetic.
