Nothing Ear (a) earbuds provide music to your ears for everyday use. The transparent structure of the headphones is admittedly the familiar Nothing, but Ear (a) offers a new kind of sampling with the bubble-like design of the box. The pillbox-like thin case feels comfortable in the hand and is convenient to slip into your pocket.

The anti-noise function of the headphones suppresses ambient noise by up to 45 decibels. You can choose between three levels of noise reduction or let Ear (a) decide for you: with the NothingX app that can be downloaded to your smart device, you can activate the adaptation of noise reduction, whereby Ear (a) optimizes the counter-noise level according to the real-time noise level of your environment.

The 11 mm speaker elements produce a full and clear sound with deep bass, balanced mids and clear high frequencies. Compared to the older Ear (2) model, the sound is stronger and the bass is deeper. Air moves through the element better than before, reducing distortion and improving sound clarity. Through the application, you can activate a bass enhancement algorithm that emphasizes low frequencies in real time for even stronger bass.

Accurately reproducing the details, the Ear (a) is Hi-Res certified for a data transfer rate of up to 990 kbps and a frequency of up to 24 bits / 96 kHz. It supports the LDAC codec, which allows you to enjoy high-resolution audio wirelessly via Bluetooth (requires an LDAC-supported source device).

The earbuds offer a maximum of up to 42.5 hours of listening time with the case (when ANC is turned off) and fast charging. Clear Voice microphones with a wind noise reduction algorithm ensure clear hands-free calls.

The NothingX app, available for Android or iOS smart devices, provides a wealth of additional features and automatically installs all new updates for your earbuds. In the app, you can activate bass enhancement and Bluetooth dual connection, allowing you to connect the earbuds to two devices simultaneously. The earbuds will switch the primary connection from, for example, a tablet to a phone when you receive a call.

Integrated ChatGPT – Ask, listen, and learn on the go. The integration designed for the Nothing ecosystem is the first of its kind and works with Nothing ear earbuds when you connect them to your Nothing phone (available on Phone (2) and coming as a software update later to Phone (1) and Phone (2a) models).
