The Beurer BM81 easyLock is a fully automatic blood pressure monitor that measures systolic and diastolic pressure as well as pulse from the upper arm. With this device, you can easily obtain accurate readings without hoses or cables. The innovative easyLock cuff is simple to attach, even with one hand. The cuff is applied effortlessly by sliding it onto the upper arm. Measurement is comfortable, as it happens quickly while the cuff gently compresses the arm. The built-in universal cuff fits arm circumferences of 24–40 cm and the device alerts you if the cuff is not positioned correctly.

The large, easy-to-read LCD display shows the measurement results clearly. The monitor can store 120 readings for two users. Tracking your health is easy, as the device calculates the average of all stored measurements, as well as the averages of morning and evening readings over the last seven days. The device also warns of potential arrhythmias and notifies if the device is not used correctly. Its risk indicator and accompanying chart provide additional context for the readings.

The Beurer BM81 is Bluetooth-compatible, allowing you to transfer your readings wirelessly directly to your mobile device. Readings can be viewed on the device itself, through the Beurer Health Manager Pro app on your mobile device, or via a web browser on your computer.

For long-term tracking, readings can also be easily transferred to the Beurer Health Manager Pro app. The app is free to download and provides useful insights based on your measurements. With the mobile app, you can track your health progress anytime, anywhere, and conveniently show your measurement history to your doctor if needed. The app is available in 22 languages, including Finnish.

It is important for every adult to know their blood pressure. High blood pressure usually does not cause symptoms, and the only way to know your blood pressure is to measure it. Home measurements are generally more reliable than readings taken at a clinic, as blood pressure is often higher in a medical setting. Using an upper-arm monitor at home is recommended for accurate readings.

Blood pressure often rises with age. About half of all Finns have elevated blood pressure, while only one in five has an ideal level. Even if asymptomatic, untreated high blood pressure can cause serious health issues. Early management can effectively prevent these complications.

Before measuring your blood pressure, avoid heavy physical activity, smoking, alcohol, coffee, tea, cola, or energy drinks for 30 minutes. The measurement environment should be quiet, calm, and warm. Blood pressure can be measured on either arm. Typically, right-handed individuals measure on the left arm and left-handed individuals on the right.

When starting to monitor your blood pressure, check for significant differences (over 10 mmHg) between arms. If a difference exists, use the arm with the higher reading.
